Today, especially on social media, there is a group of people we call influencers. They’re called influencers because they generally have a large audience size. More importantly, they can create/sway the opinions of their audience.

David was an influencer in his day. His career as an influencer was quite different from what obtains today. David first burst onto the scene when he killed Goliath. He single-handedly saved a nation. That brought about instant national fame. He automatically became the king’s future son-in-law and found himself commanding soldiers. He also became the king’s personal musician. Everybody loved him, until they didn’t.

Suddenly, the king he had served so faithfully hated him. The king tried to kill him so many times until David took off and became a fugitive. The king, turned David from national hero to persona non grata. And so, David went from being married to a princess and commanding soldiers in the army to being a criminal who had no wife.

But his influencer anointing followed him even when he was on the run. People in debt, and people who were not happy with themselves flocked to him. He had over 400 men with him, and this number soon rose to 600. These guys all had issues. An example of their issues was seen when some folks kidnapped their families. They were understandably sad, as they had lost all their loved ones. David’s family had been abducted too. These men who David had cared for, and led for years picked up stones to stone David. David who was suffering the same fate with them, David who had led them for years. They were in pain, but that was the action of an extreme group.

Down the line however, we see a marked difference in these guys. When talking about their deeds, the Bible describes them as mighty men. These guys stood up to an entire army just to protect David. Three of them went through the stronghold of enemy commandos just to get David water to drink. There was water around, but David just wished he could drink from a particular location, and these guys went there for him.

Financially, these guys also shot up. Remember they were people in debt. Well, they ended up being some of the wealthiest guys alive. When they were donating to build the temple, what they gave was worth billions of dollars.

The lives of these men changed dramatically. Everything that David enjoyed rubbed off on them. David influenced distressed men who were in debt and who had anger management issues. He turned them into wealthy, brave, and caring men. This kind of influencing is not natural. It was because David had something inside. That thing he had was something others aspired to, and that thing changed their lives.

Today, an upgraded version of what David had is available for everybody. It is called eternal life. Do you want to be an influencer too? Do you want to transform lives for good? Then come and take eternal life. It will make it easier. Getting this life is very simple. All you need to do is to believe in Jesus Christ. He died so we all could live. He’s alive now. He rose again and is waiting for everyone to accept the gift his death and resurrection gave us.

Why not give it a try? Influencing your world has never been so easy.
